The week of FOOD!
Well, I guess I'll just start by listing everything we have eaten at the fair this year:
Fried Mac and Cheese, Fried Raviolis, Fried Mashed Potatoes, Kabob, Turkey Leg, Fried Cheesecake, Italian Sausage, Polish Sausage, Funnel Cake, 3 Pineapple Whips, Couple of Corn Dogs, a few Corns, Sweet Potato Curly Fries, and a Watermelon Lemonade. I think that's it! :)
When we went to the fair Kohen LOVED watching everyONE and everyTHING! He started to wave and say 'aaaiiiii' that sounded a Little like Hi! :) He was the center of attention for anyone who saw him. He liked all the attention and the new surroundings.
He got to sit in the little fire truck and tried to 'drive' it

He's already started having an expensive taste. He found a toy he wanted - a 4 wheeler!

And his da-da was being a dork as usual

Kohen has another trick that he usually does to his cousin Preslee and that's opening his mouth going 'aaaaaaahhhh' on her. He's giving kisses and since we make a noise everytime we do it he's started copying that. He wouldn't stop giving me 'kisses' on the lips when we were playing on the floor the other day so I had to snap a pic.......

Kohen's Great Grandpa Richard (who he shares a birthday with) came into town for the fair with his sweet friend and we all went to eat. I tried to get a good pic, but Kohen was getting too distracted to smile at the camera
And one last pic of the EVER growing, FOUR toothed (if that's a word) Kohen......
YEP! I said 4 teeth!

More Teeth... More Drooling!
Kohen is growing quickly and we've recently had a big increase in Drool! He has one of his top teeth cutting through and the other one is coming QUICKLY behind! Other than not sleeping well at night, he's done great. He hasn't been grumpy like last time, but will just chew on anything you give him!
Yesterday we went to Aunt Heather's house and Ellee had her tu-tu dress out and Kohen just HAD to try it on!
.........and Aunt Heather modeled it as a new hat! :)

Today we're having a lazy day and staying home, but Kohen got to go outside and play with the grass. He couldn't decide if he liked it or not. But he ALWAYS cheeses it up for the camera. :)

8 Months
Kohen is on the MOVE! No, not crawling yet. . . . he is perfectly content rolling, but he rolls EVERYWHERE!
He is a very content little boy. It's nice being able to sit him on the ground and if he wants a toy he lays back and rolls over to get it. hahaha
He's a boy who knows what he wants and when you're at a restuarant he wants your Straw! He'll also be content with celery or a dill pickle to knaw on.

Kohen is eating baby food better and we sit down to eat twice a day with him. His favorites are the fruit dishes so you have to sneak in the veggies every couple bites to get him to take them.
We did Piggies and Paws for the first time this week and he did VERY good. I think he was distracted by all the little girls there to flirt with. :) I can't wait to get our picture back!
Kohen is starting to wake up from a nap! Sorry so short but I will have more pictures soon because I got a new camera, so look forward to a picture overload! :)
BOOMER SOONER From our house to yours! :)

Pictures Time!
Kohen is rolling around EVERYWHERE! He LOVES to clap when you say 'Patty Cake, Patty Cake'... it's adorable. He also loves to grab at everything and gets excited when its something that makes noise like paper.
I know Kohen will be 8 months in a week but I wanted to post some of my favorite 6 1/2 month pictures. :) I LOVE them! Oh and I'm still waiting to get another Digital Camera :)
I love his old man smile and his eyes closed hanging upside down (just ignore my goofy face)

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH KYLE!

Sorry I haven't updated in such a long time!
My digital camera broke and I know it must be boring to just read what I type instead of 'oooo and awwww' over pictures of my handsome man.
Kohen is doing great! Sitting up like a big boy, standing against the couch, clapping, eating baby food (when he feels like it lol) giving hugs, going longer without nursing, and sleeping better at night! yay!
Kohen experienced his first 'fender bender' about 3 weeks ago in front of the mall. Everyone was perfectly ok and the car is fine. The guy that hit me was scared to death and VERY apologetic. Kohen didn't really understand that anything had happened until everyone in the car looked at him hysterically to make sure he was ok. We kind of scared him and he started to cry but calmed down very quickly. I'm hoping that this incident doesn't determine how his driving skills will be.. . :)
I post this next part not for your opinion on parenting but as an update on Kohen:
Kohen has been a co-sleeper since about day 3 of his life. It has worked great for us and isn't being totally eliminated, but the good news is that as we speak he is peacefully sleeping underneath his OU mobile in his pack and play. He also took his afternoon nap in there today. He is growing up SO fast and doing great with every transition. He fussed for a little when his mobile stopped so I went and turned it back on and rubbed his back for a second and he was OUT! I love my little man! I'll still be stealing some cuddle time from him, but looks like we'll be giving those monitors a little more use.
I'll post some pictures as soon as I get a new camera, which will hopefully be this week. :)

Sleepy Bling
i am definately going to update in the next day or 2, but it's late and Derek is at work and I needed to share this with someone. Kohen and I were cuddling on the couch and he fell asleep. Then he woke up and so I sat him up in the corner (don't worry he was surrounded by a barrier so he couldn't fall) and I went to get something to drink.... When I came back, this is what I found.....

and on another random picture note............. My Niece is Gangster. She says 'Yo Homey' and 'Word Up'. She also "raises the roof" and says "Bling bling". Don't mess with the G Funk.

Oh Yes, She is wearing a shirt with a Cadillac medallion and rhinestones on it.
Hey Heather, when can I babysit Ellee and teach her some new things? :)

Chompers
Within the last week and a half Kohen has sprung up 2 teeth. First was the bottom right tooth and then 2 days ago the bottom left one came in. He's been doing really well with it. Just drooling all over the place and chewing on ANYTHING he can get his hands on (including his own fingers).
I didn't even realize he was getting his 2nd tooth because he had been acting really well and I hadn't even given him any medicine. :)
I've been trying to get a picture to post of his new pearly whites, but apparently Kohen thinks he needs to protect them and he won't open his mouth long enough to take a pic.
He turned 6 months on Friday and was supposed to have his check up tomorrow, but for some un-known reason the office called and cancelled yesterday and I haven't been able to get a hold of them to re-schedule. (I'm a little frustrated).
We went to Kohen and I's first Tulsa Talons game last night with Derek, Papa, and Renee. We had a blast. It was a really close game and Kohen LOVED looking around at everything. Here's a picture of Renee and Kohen watching the game! I couldn't even get him to take his eyes off people for 2 seconds to look at the camera :)

Hope everyone is enjoying the break from the rain! :)

So here is a story post with pictures! :)
To start off, here is a moment I had to catch! Derek was sleeping in and Kohen went down for a nap and I layed him on the bed and he looked like a 'Mini- Me' next to Derek.

Next, it was time to get ready for the day and Kohen decided he wanted to help me out... He loves to be naked and is MORE than willing to take his clothes off!

Derek and I have joined Platinum Fitness and they have an Infant area in their Kids Zone and we decided to take advantage of it. It's great because even when you are working out you can watch your child on the TVs. You just tune the tv to a certain channel and you can see exactly what they are doing with you kid. Plus you have to wear a pager while you work out so they can page you at anytime to come get them. This was Kohen's first day to the gym so of COURSE he had to wear a muscle shirt. :)

Our 4th of July was pretty laid back. We stopped to see Grammy and then stopped to see his Grandma Anita (SOrry we didn't have the camera) and then off to see the fireworks at the River. Thank you Grammy for the Great Patriotic outift! :)

The hat was too big when we bought it a month ago and then when it was time to wear it, it was a little snug on the head.

Kohens feet are starting to dangle off the side of his infant carrier (not to mention my arm is about to fall off when I carry him in it) , and I bought his Britax (aka Big Boy) carseat before he was born, because I knew we'd need it. So we tried it out the other day and he LOVES it! It cuts down on the crying and he has even fallen asleep in it and still looks comfy. Here is a picture of him posing in his new seat!
We've only tried it in the Mustang because the carseat base for the infant carrier has been in my car and I haven't wanted to take it out. And I realized that I hadn't posted a picture of Derek's toy (aka car) that he got about a month ago. I know he'll be proud to know I'm showing it off! haha -excuse the dirty garage!-

Kohen has found a new fascination since the last post.... Playing with his feet. Not only playing with them but trying to eat them! 2 days ago while I was changing his diaper I noticed scratched up the back of his leg from him grabbing so hard trying to get his feet at his mouth. His Nails are SOOO hard to keep up with! This is the first time he had a hold of both feet at the same time, and I snapped a pic!

Thursday Derek's Grandpa Richard (who shares his birthday with Kohen) came into town and we convinced him and Derek's mom to go with us to the Aquarium. Derek and I have been wanting to go for awhile and Kohen is becoming VERY observant so we thought it would be fun.
Here are the 3 Boys:

One part of the aquarium has a big round tank with Big fish that all seemed to be swimming in a circle. We stood Kohen up on the edge and he LOVED watching them swim, he was laughing at all the fish until a REALLY big one swam by extremly close to the glass and Kohen jumped back, so grandma had to hold him.

I think he has awhile before he'll catch up with the Alligar (I think thats what they are called)
There is an open top tank with StingRays and you can buy 'fish food' which is just Shrimp to feed them. Grandpa Richard decided that Kohen needed to learn how to feed the fish and showed him how to hold onto the pole. He thought it was pretty fun, but in the second picture he looks WAY too much like a 'Big Boy'. :(
And don't worry.... the Purell was in full force this day! haha
I'm glad we went to the Aquarium, but to be honest I thought it was going to be a lot bigger (especially for the Price!). On the way there Derek told me they had the biggest bullsharks in captivity. Well when I think of a Shark I'm thinking 'Jaws' size. . . . especially when they're the 'BIGGEST IN CAPTIVITY'. I was sad to see sharks no longer than I am tall. lol
It was great spending time with family and getting to see new things (many which disgusted me, including a huge frog). The best part was seeing how excited Derek was that all his Discovery Channel watching came in handy. He knew SO much about all the crazy animals they had there, and he loved petting the animals.

Then we went over to the Riverwalk and treated ourselves to some ColdStone Creamery! YUMMMY! I got Cheesecake with Cherries. :)
And the Nice lady at the Aquarium took a picture of us all together before we left!
